BANGOR, Maine — A handful of flights in and out of Maine’s two major airports were being affected Monday by a weekend storm that dumped heavy snow in the mid-Atlantic states.

Bangor International Airport’s departure to Washington, D.C., was canceled for Monday, while all other flights in and out of the airport were operating.

The Portland International Jetport reported approximately nine canceled flights to hubs such as Baltimore, Charlotte, Newark, New Jersey, and Washington.

Travelers should check with their airline or travel agent before heading to the airport.
