PORTLAND, Maine — A body found in Casco Bay on Saturday morning has been tentatively identified as James Dyer, 23, of Saco. Dyer has been missing since Jan. 1.

The body was recovered at 9 a.m. near DiMillo’s Marina at 166 Commercial St., according to a Portland police news release shared by WGME.

Dyer was last seen at about 3 a.m. Jan. 1 leaving the Pearl Night Club in the Old Port area of Portland.

The body has been taken to the chief medical examiner’s office in Augusta to determine the cause of death and to make a formal identification, police said.
