BANGOR, Maine — Bangor police arrested a 20-year-old Bangor man Saturday night in connection with a stabbing at Pickering Square.
Andrew Langley is accused of stabbing another 20-year-old man in the area of the square around 5:15 p.m. Saturday, according to Bangor police Sgt. David Bushey. Langley is being held at Penobscot County Jail and faces a Class B aggravated assault charge.
The man he allegedly stabbed suffered injuries that aren’t believed to be life-threatening and was taken to Eastern Maine Medical Center for treatment.
Bushey said police still are investigating the stabbing, and ask that anyone with information about the assault contact the department’s Criminal Investigation Division at 947-7382.
Police say the assault was not random and that there was no threat to the public.
