FREEPORT, Maine — A Portland man was injured Tuesday morning during an incident on Interstate 295 in Freeport.
Maine state trooper Douglas Cropper said a man from Portland was taken by Freeport rescue workers to Maine Medical Center.
Firefighters extinguished a fire in the pickup’s cab, but Cropper said the injuries did not necessarily result from the fire in the truck.
When local police and firefighters first received a call about the incident, they were told an occupant of the vehicle may have suffered a gunshot wound, according to Freeport Fire Chief Darrel Fournier.
