BANGOR, Maine — A man and a woman were issued summons Thursday morning after allegedly using narcotics in a vehicle on Broadway.
Bangor Police Sgt. Tim Cotton said police and fire personnel were called to Broadway near the shopping center around 11 a.m. for two people in a vehicle “that appeared to be ill or overdosing,” 2183218 Cotton said.
The vehicle’s occupants, Brandon Knowles, 27, and Toni Barronton, 30, both of Eddington, were evaluated by medical personnel at the scene and were able to speak with officers, Cotton said.
The sergeant added that police suspect “some kind of narcotics were used,” but did not get into any other specifics, citing an open investigation.
Knowles was summoned for operating under the influence and Barronton for possession of a schedule W drug, Cotton said.
The case remains under investigation. Neither occupant was transported to the hospital.
