WELLS, Maine — A fire started along a railroad track in Wells on Thursday evening.
The fire started about a mile away from Dodge Road.
Firefighters said they were having a difficult time getting water to the area to put out the flames.
Not only was the brush fire a mile from the road, firefighters said it stretched about another mile down the track.
Neighboring towns were also helping fight the flames.
The fire was near several homes.
