AUGUSTA, Maine — A local woman and a man from Rochester, New York, were arrested Tuesday on suspicion of selling heroin, according to police.
A search warrant at a Middle Street apartment landed Charles Evans, 24, and Clover Sue Baxter, 28, behind bars on multiple drug charges, according to Augusta Deputy Chief Jared Mills.
The pair are accused of selling heroin out of the residence, Mills said.
Evans is facing three heroin trafficking charges, and his bail was set at $25,000, Mills said. Baxter also is facing a trio of heroin trafficking charges, and her bail was set at $2,500.
Both were taken to the Kennebec County Jail.
