GREENBUSH, Maine — Authorities are investigating a fire that heavily damaged a camper trailer off East Ridge Road on Wednesday morning.
Greenbush Fire Chief Don Burr said the initial call was for a propane stove fire and, “upon our arrival, a camper trailer was three-quarters involved with fire.”
Crews from Greenbush, Passadumkeag and Milford were able to contain the flames quickly, Burr said.
“It worked out pretty well as far as fires go, and I’m very thankful to the mutual aid,” Burr said. “Today’s fire service in small towns — if you don’t have mutual aid partners, it’s very hard to fight fires.”
Burr said a woman who lives in the trailer was injured and taken to a local hospital by ambulance.
The state fire marshal’s office will look into a cause.
