PORTLAND, Maine — A Maine State Prison inmate has been indicted by the Cumberland County grand jury on an aggravated attempted murder charge.
Dale Gardner, 47, also was indicted on a charge of elevated aggravated assault, according to an indictment list released by the Cumberland County district attorney’s office.
Gardner was indicted in connection with an incident that occurred in February.
Gardner is currently serving a life sentence for murder.
