HOLDEN, Maine — One person was taken to a Bangor hospital after two vehicles nearly collided on Copeland Hill Road and one ended up on its side Tuesday, according to Holden police Chief Chris Greeley.
“A vehicle forced another car off the road,” Greeley. “They were driving toward each other and one car was in the wrong lane, and caused the other car to spin around and end up in the ditch.”
One person was taken by ambulance to an area hospital with minor injuries, the police chief said. Three people were in the small four-door sedan that ended up on its side in the ditch.
“It happened so quickly that the only description they could give was that it was a silver or white car,” Greeley said of the vehicle that reportedly crossed the center line and kept going.
Police are seeking the vehicle that left the scene of the incident, which remains under investigation.
