BANGOR, Maine — City police are looking to identify a man who may be responsible for a recent burglary, according to Sgt. Tim Cotton.

Cotton said in a post on the department’s Facebook page the man is alleged to have used a credit card taken from a Bangor home shortly before a shopping spree at the Bangor Mall.

Cotton said the man is believed to have purchased Chicago Bulls caps in a mall store.

“He was wearing an inordinate amount of red during his impromptu photo shoot,” Cotton wrote. “I do not think he plays for the Bulls.”

Anybody who knows the man’s identity should contact Bangor police at 947-7384 and use option 6 to access the department’s Tip line. Detective Joel Nadeau, who can be reached at joel.nadeau@bangormaine.gov, is investigating the case.
