Drug agents are investigating the discovery of a pair of methamphetamine labs Wednesday morning, officials said.
One was found in Hancock and the other in Patten in northern Penobscot County, Maine Department of Public Safety spokesman Stephen McCausland said.
The Hancock lab was discovered in the predawn hours, and the Patten lab was located a few hours later, McCausland said.
The MDEA’s meth response team will respond to both locations, wearing protective gear while working to seize evidence from both locations.
This marks the 80th meth response in 2016 by the MDEA, compared to 56 last year.
