ROCKLAND, Maine — A Waldoboro man was sentenced Thursday to 30 days in jail for spitting on a woman and pulling out some of her hair.
Thomas A. Gaudette, 26, was sentenced in Knox County Unified Court to two years behind bars with all but 30 days suspended and placed on probation for two years for felony domestic violence assault, domestic violence terrorizing and obstructing the report of a crime.
According to a police affidavit filed in court after the attack, the woman reported that the man confronted her after she failed to pick him up and give him a ride. He grabbed her shirt, pushed her, spit on her and then pulled out some of her hair, according to the report.
The attack occurred in February in Warren.
The assault was a felony because he had a prior domestic assault conviction in 2009.
