PORTLAND, Maine — The Cumberland County Sheriff’s Office said Sunday afternoon that an inmate who failed to return to the Community Corrections Center from his job at a fast food restaurant Saturday night has been located and is back in jail.
Mohamed Abukar, 31, of Portland began serving his sentence for driving offenses on Dec. 9 of last year, Chief Deputy Naldo Gagnon said Sunday in a news release.
Abukar, who was scheduled to be released on Aug. 16, was not considered dangerous.
