BANGOR, Maine — Emera Maine crews have made significant progress toward restoring service to customers who lost power as a result of thunderstorms that swept through much of Maine Saturday afternoon.
More than 5,600 were without power around 4:15 p.m. Saturday. By 9 p.m., the total was down to about 4,500.
On Sunday morning, service had yet to be restored to 477 customers, most of which were in the Lincoln and Lee area, according to the utility’s live outage map.
