BANGOR, Maine — Police are investigating an accident in which a pedestrian was struck by a vehicle at about 2:30 p.m. on Stillwater Avenue, according to Bangor police Lt. Cathy Rumsey.

Police say a 29-year-old man from Bangor stepped into the road and into the side of a vehicle driven by Kimberlee Hall, 58, of Orono.

Rumsey did not name the pedestrian, who was taken to a Bangor hospital to be treated for injuries that didn’t appear to be life-threatening.

The pedestrian was struck near the plaza where Hobby Lobby and Buffalo Wild Wings are located, Rumsey said.

Police shut down that section of Stillwater Avenue for a time while they investigated the incident.
