DAYTON, Maine — Police are looking for a suspect in an interrupted motor vehicle burglary in Dayton early Sunday morning after the homeowner kicked the suspect in the face.
Maine State Police said around 1 a.m. Sunday they were called to Brookside Drive in Dayton where the homeowner had dealt with a male trying to steal from a car.
The suspect and homeowner clashed, with the suspect getting a kick in the face. Police said the suspect may have bruises.
Police also recovered a Gary Fisher mountain bike, but they aren’t sure if it belonged to the suspect or if he stole it.
