ROCKPORT, Maine — One man died Thursday afternoon when a bulldozer ran over him at a road construction site.
The fatal accident occurred about 3:45 p.m. on a section of Mill Street that was closed to traffic while the project was underway, a few hundred yards from the intersection of Route 90.
The identity of the man who died has not yet been released. Camden and Rockport police were still at the scene investigating early Thursday evening.
That section of Mill Street has been closed to traffic since July 12 for the removal and replacement of a large culvert that spans the outlet from Tolman Pond.
