SOUTH PORTLAND, Maine — South Portland police are investigating an attempted armed robbery at Buffalo Wild Wings late Tuesday night.

Police said a woman was in her car outside the restaurant on Western Avenue around 11:40 p.m. when a man approached the car and asked for cash. When she said no, police say the man pulled out what appeared to be a gun.

Around the same time, police say, a few people walked out of the restaurant and that’s when the man ran off. Police searched the area but did not find him.

The suspect is described a white male, in his early 20’s, approximately 5’7” with an average build.

He was wearing a black hooded sweatshirt with the “Wu-Tang” symbol in yellow on the chest. He was also wearing a black baseball hat with a yellow logo on the front and yellow under the brim. The khaki or gray pants he was wearing had the letter “S” or the number five on the left thigh.

Police ask anyone who recognizes this man to contact the South Portland Police Department at 874-8575 and ask for Detective Jeff Levesque.
