UPDATE: Wardens say 87-year-old Peter Tomge was located alive early Monday morning by a neighbor.
The Maine Warden Service and Oxford County Sherriff’s Office are asking for the public’s help in finding a Greenwood man.
Peter Tomge, 87, reportedly left his home Sunday with his two Jack Russell terriers to go for a walk.
After several hours, when he did not return, family members and local neighbors looked around his normal walking route.
Around 5 p.m. the Oxford County Sheriff’s Office was called. Deputies and wardens responded.
Several police dog tracks were attempted, but they were not able to find Tomge.
Tomge is believed to be wearing blue jean shorts, a white T-shirt, with possibly a green hooded jacket, red baseball cap, and Teva type sandals with dark colored socks.
Anyone with information about Tomge is urged to call the Gray Regional Communication Center at 207-657-3030 or the Oxford County Sheriff’s Office at 207-743-9554 ext. 105.
