A threatening message written in a bathroom forced Lewiston Middle School to close Friday, according to school officials.

Lewiston police are investigating the threat, the superintendent’s office wrote on Facebook.

All other Lewiston public schools will remain open except for Star Academy, a program for at-risk students and is located near the middle school campus on Central Avenue.
