Winter is officially still 25 days away, but Monday marks the third batch of snow storms in the state in just November, making Mainers ready for winter before fall is even finished.
Steve Martin said he plows roads on the side, so early snow storms aren’t so bad.
“I don’t mind it all, especially when you’re working in it, it’s good for your paycheck for sure, so I’m excited I don’t mind the snow as long as it’s not here until the end of April,” Martin said.

So far this year, the Maine Department of Transportation says more than 27,000 tons of salt have been used on the roads. At this time last year, they had only used 4,700 tons.
But there’s not much you can do about the winter weather living in Vacationland.
“I’ve lived in Maine all my life but I have no use for snow,” Bridgton resident Jim Chadbourne said. “I don’t snowmobile no more, I don’t ski anymore cause my back won’t let me do that, so I just put up with it.”
The Maine Turnpike Authority is also putting in extra work on the roads. They say they’ve treated the roads 10 times so far this year on the northern end of Interstate 95.
