Ellen Ceppetelli, chairwoman of the town Aging-in-Place Committee, presented the Eliot Select Board on Thursday with a 39-page assessment of a recent townwide survey by her committee.
Between 310 and 320 people answered the questions, she said.
In a one-sheet summary, the committee wrote the survey’s key findings were that 68 percent of respondents were 60 or older and 93 percent said it was important to remain in Eliot as they age.

Ninety percent own their own homes, according to the survey. Respondents said they are impressed with town staff and the library. They asked for walkability, pedestrian and bicycle safety, information about local activities, property tax relief and public transportation.
Ceppetelli said there will be two public two meetings, one on April 10, at 6 p.m. to present the survey results, and one May 22 to follow up.
