Two teens suffered minor injuries after a collision with a tractor-trailer in New Vineyard.
Nathaniel Smith, 18, of Phillips was driving southbound along Route 27 about 11:18 a.m. when he became distracted and veered into the northbound lane and collided with a tractor-trailer driven by Richard Morgan, 55, of New Gloucester, according to the Maine State Police.
Smith and his 16-year-old passenger, who was taken to Franklin Memorial Hospital in Farmington, suffered minor injuries, according to the state police.
Morgan was uninjured.
Smith was charged with operating left of center, the state police said.
The New Vineyard and New Portland fire departments, Dutch Gap Auto, Sanders Auto and North Star Ambulance assisted state police at the scene.
