The Portland Fire Department said they responded to a dumpster fire at the Portland International Jetport Monday.
Officials said the call came in around 2:30 p.m.
Part of the awning outside the baggage claim area was damaged.
Officials said nobody was hurt, but baggage claim was evacuated due to smoke.
No flights were affected.
