A Raymond man was killed Wednesday morning when his motorcycle collided with a dump truck in Falmouth.

The Portland Press Herald reports that Joseph Goodwin, 45, was riding a motorcycle along Route 100 about 9 a.m. when he collided with a large dump truck.

Goodwin died at the scene, and the driver of the dump truck wasn’t injured, according to the newspaper.

It was the second motorcycle crash in a 24-hour period in Maine. On Tuesday night, Edwin Sheffer, 47, of Holden was killed in a collision with another vehicle on Wilson Street in Brewer. Sheffer owned Diversified Ink Tattoo, a Bangor tattoo and piercing business.
