Hampden police said two men died in the crash. Read the update.

A car went through a guardrail and into the Souadabscook Stream in Hampden on Thursday night, according to reports from News Center Maine and WABI.

The crash occurred near the intersection of Main Road North, which is Route 1A, and Coldbrook Road around 10:30 p.m. It damaged a guardrail over the stream on the Coldbrook Road side of the bridge.

It is not yet clear if anyone is injured.

A Maine Department of Transportation crew member and Hampden police were on the scene Friday morning inspecting the damage to the guardrail and preparing to repair it.
