PORTLAND, Maine — The victim of a deadly crash that happened overnight and was discovered the following day has been identified.
Sasa Strejcek, 21, of Portland died after his vehicle was split in two after crashing on the northbound on-ramp of Interstate 295 from Washington Avenue, officials said.
The crash, which only involved one vehicle, is believed to have occurred sometime Tuesday night, but was not discovered by officials until Wednesday morning.
The circumstances of the crash are under investigation.
