A family and their dogs were left without significant injuries after a tree fell on their home during Saturday’s nor’easter.

The pine tree snapped due to high winds and came down directly on the home at 4 Brown Road and a car parked in the driveway, officials said.

Four people and two dogs were inside the home at the time. A 45-year-old woman was struck with debris, but the others were able to pull her from the wreckage. She suffered minor cuts and abrasions, officials said.

While one dog was safely removed from the home, a second was trapped inside in the debris. Raymond Fire Department personnel were able to clear the debris and locate the dog, who was  saved by the structure of the chair he was sleeping in at the time and not injured, officials said.
