A home in Hampden was destroyed in a fire on Monday night.

First responders arrived at the fire at the Kennebec Road residence at around 10:30 p.m., according to WABI 5 news.

The house was fully engulfed in flames when firefighters arrived, officials said.

It was not clear whether anyone was home at the time of the fire.

The Office of the Maine Fire Marshal is investigating the circumstances of the fire.
