Washington County sheriff’s deputies found Johnson dead around 5:30 p.m. Wednesday at a Leighton Point Road residence when they responded to a call about an unresponsive woman, Maine Department of Public Safety spokesperson Shannon Moss said Friday night.
The Maine State Police Major Crimes Unit North and the Maine State Police Evidence Response Team were called and the woman’s body was taken to the medical examiner’s office for an autopsy.
The autopsy performed on Thursday determined that Johnson was the victim of a homicide, Moss said.Police seek help from the public.
