A driver was killed Thursday evening after he was ejected in a crash on Interstate 95 in Litchfield and hit by two vehicles.
Brandon Currie, 35, of Newport was driving a blue GMC pickup truck north on I-95 about 6:50 p.m. when he attempted to pass an RV motorhome using the travel lane, according to Shannon Moss, a spokesperson for the Maine Department of Public Safety.
The driver lost control of the truck, hit the guardrail and then the RV, forcing both into the median, Moss said late Thursday night.
He was ejected and then hit by two other vehicles. He died at the scene, Moss said.
The drivers of the RV and other two vehicles weren’t injured.
The crash remains under investigation.
