Two men were taken to the hospital Friday afternoon after colliding their snowmobiles head-on on a trail north of Rangeley.

David Price, 42, of Milan, New Hampshire, and Warren Grant, 36, of Essex, Massachusetts, approached a sharp turn in opposite directions and crashed into each other on ITS 84, according to the Lewiston Sun Journal.

Price declined medical treatment from first responders and drove to a hospital in Berlin, New Hampshire, where he was treated for a shoulder injury.

Grant was taken by Lifeflight to Central Maine Medical Center in Lewiston where he learned that he suffered a concussion, Mark Latti, spokesperson for the Maine Department of Inland Fisheries & Wildlife, told the Sun Journal.

Both drivers were wearing helmets at the time of the collision and the crash is still under investigation.
