Versant Power crews will be working to upgrade equipment in downtown Bangor on Thursday night, which may cut power to customers on Broad Street, the company announced Monday.

Work will begin at 11:30 p.m. Thursday and is estimated to take about four hours, according to Versant.

The upgraded equipment will help improve reliability and prevent future outages, the company said.

If there’s rain, the work will be moved to Friday.
