Two people are dead after a reported shooting in Lewiston on Sunday morning.
One person died on Knox Street about 10:18 a.m., while a second person found at the scene died later at Central Maine Medical Center, according to Shannon Moss, a spokesperson for the Maine Department of Public Safety.
The Maine medical examiner’s office in Augusta will determine their identities as well as a cause and manner of death, Moss said Sunday evening.
The deaths remain under investigation, but Moss said there’s no known threat to the public.
No additional information was released.
