Shooting a big buck is one thing. Getting it home is another — especially if no one is around to help.

What would you do if you had to single-handedly load a decent-sized deer onto the bed of your truck?

But Outdoor Life Hunting Editor Andrew McKean has a solution that’s much more elegant.

It requires two ropes, a pulley, some boards and a truck. You don’t have to do any pulling or lifting: just tie one end of a rope to a stationary object, and the other to your deer quarry, and drive forward.
