A Bangor man who had been reported missing was found dead in Clifton on Friday afternoon.
The man’s vehicle was located near Eagle Bluff on Route 180 at around 12:30 a.m. by a family member, according to the Penobscot County Sheriff’s Office. The man’s body was discovered at the bottom of the cliff by drone, officials said.
A K-9 was deployed, and officials were able to locate the body and confirm the man had died. Officials were able to recover his body, and noted that there was a significant amount of snow and ice in the area that the man’s body was recovered from.
An investigation into the man’s death is ongoing. His identity is not being released at this time.
