The Lewiston bowling alley that was one of the sites of the deadliest mass shooting in Maine history will soon be reopening its doors.

Just-In-Time Recreation posted on Facebook on Tuesday that it will be holding a grand reopening on May 3.

The business has been making improvements recently, installing new bumpers, gutters and scoring machines.

It also announced plans to hire several employees.

Seven people were shot and killed at the bowling alley on the night of Oct. 25, 2023.

Eight more people died at Schemengees Bar and Grille that night, according to police. Three others died after being taken to area hospitals.
