A Milford man was charged with operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of intoxicants late Saturday night after his vehicle crashed into a building.

Wayne Feero, 52, allegedly did not make a turn and his vehicle hit a vacant building on Main Road in Milford, according to the Penobscot County Sheriff’s Office.

Feero was taken to the hospital with minor injuries, police said.

The call came into the Penobscot Regional Communication Center at 11:56 p.m. Saturday.

Alcohol was a factor in the crash, the sheriff’s department said. The charge against Feero is a Class D misdemeanor.

Milford Fire and Rescue and Versant Power assisted the sheriff’s deputies.
