Why is the state of Maine looking elsewhere when the resources are right here in Maine? Why are two nonprofits losing a contract for transportation for Medicaid patients, when we have two wonderful nonprofits right here who have provided needed transportation for medical appointments in the past and wish to continue?

Whatever happened to shop local? Sometimes it does cost a bit more but local support provides jobs, builds community spirit and is an investment both socially and economically. These are priceless.

It should be more than about money.
