A missing Surry man has been found safe.
Franklin McCormick, 84, was reported missing Monday from his Toddy Pond Road home, according to Lt. Aaron Turcotte of the Maine State Police.
McCormick, who suffers from dementia, may have been driving a silver Toyota Rav4 with Maine toward West Virginia, but Turcotte said McCormick knows no one there.
The Hancock County Sheriff’s Office said just after noon Tuesday that McCormick was found in Connecticut.
