Two people were seriously injured in a Friday night Clifton crash.
The rollover crash on Rebel Hill Road (Route 180) was reported around 11:10 p.m. When the Penobscot County Sheriff deputies and Eddington Fire Department officials arrived to the scene, they found that an SUV had skidded off the roadway and rolled several times.
The two occupants of the vehicle were thrown in opposite directions, and were seriously injured. Information on their medical care was not immediately available.
While the crash remains under investigation, officials said that they had received reports that the SUV had been driving at high speeds before the crash occurred.
