A short stretch of State Street in downtown Bangor will be under construction for two weeks, starting Monday, Sept. 30, while the Bangor Water District performs work in the area.
During that time, parking will not be allowed from the crosswalk by 6 State St. to Harlow Street, and traffic will be significantly reduced, according to the city.
The city encourages drivers to use alternative routes or expect delays, and invites those with questions or concerns to call 207-947-4516.
