U.S. Rep. Jared Golden and state Rep. Austin Theriault, R-Fort Kent, are squaring off tonight for their first debate in a nationally watched 2nd Congressional District race.
Golden, a Democrat and Marine veteran who first won election to Congress in 2018, and Theriault, a former NASCAR driver who has served one term in the Maine House of Representatives, will meet for the first of three debates ahead of the Nov. 5 election.
The Bangor Daily News and CBS 13 are hosting tonight’s 7 p.m. debate.
