Hundreds of people lined streets in Bangor and Brewer Monday to watch the annual Veterans Day Parade. The route proceeded down Wilson Street in Brewer, across the Joshua Chamberlain Bridge onto Main Street in Bangor to State Street before ending on Exchange Street.

The Nokomis High School marching band from Newport, Maine Maritime Academy regiment from Castine, and junior ROTC units from Bangor and Hermon high schools were among those marching to honor those who served in the U.S. military. Groups of Korean War and Vietnam War veterans marched, and 104-year-old World War II veteran Ed Hendrickson of Bangor waved a small American flag from his wheelchair as he rode along the route.
