A body was found in a vehicle at the Achorn Cemetery in Rockland Friday morning, according to the Midcoast Villager.
The body was found at around 8 a.m., the paper reported.
At this point, foul play is not suspected in the death and there is no threat to the public, the Rockland Police Department said later on Friday.
Rockland police have called the Maine State Police to report the body, according to the Villager. That is common practice when there is an unattended death. The state chief medical examiner’s office will be conducting an autopsy of the body.
