A Bingham firefighter died Friday when he crashed his vehicle on the way home.
Capt. Don French was driving on Main Street when he had a medical event, according to the Bingham Fire Department.
He left the road, and his vehicle came to a rest against a home, the department said.
Despite a quick response, first responders couldn’t revive him.
“Don was a very dedicated firefighter and made every call that he was capable of making. He was our Captain of the Hose and made sure we always had a good water supply, and hose that could carry it. Don was a huge part of our department. He will be greatly missed, BUT NEVER FORGOTTEN,” the department wrote in a social media post.
No additional information was immediately available.
