A woman was transported to the Pen Bay Hospital in Rockport after a fire on Sunday.
She received serious burns in a fire at 2036 Appleton Ridge Road. Officials responded to the scene at around 6:49 p.m., according to Lt. Aaron Turcotte of the Maine State Police.
The woman has been transferred to Maine Medical Center in Portland.
Officials believe the fire started accidentally from a wood stove, although the circumstances remain under investigation.
