A private dead-end road in Blue Hill was closed late Tuesday afternoon as firefighters battled a fire at a home.
The fire was initially reported just before 4 p.m. at a home on Allen Point Lane, which connects to Route 172 near the Sedgwick town line and serves a small group of homes overlooking Salt Pond.
The road was still closed to traffic as of 4:45 p.m.
There were no immediate reports of injuries. Firefighters from multiple surrounding towns also responded to the blaze.
