Big Lots is going out of business, and all its remaining four Maine locations will be closed by mid-March.

The national store chain, which sells everything from furniture to groceries, filed for bankruptcy in September. The company shuttered its Portland store in August as part of an initial mass closure before filing for bankruptcy.

According to employees from each location, the Brunswick Big Lots will close Sunday, the Augusta store will close next Tuesday and both the Farmington and Auburn stores will close by mid-March.

All stores are offering a sale to clear out their inventories.
